New Texas cases of avian influenza prompted South Korea
to ban all U.S. poultry imports Tuesday as health workers in
the Lone Star State continued testing poultry near a farm
where the highly contagious strain was first detected.

-Bird flu hits Thailand, Cambodia -

BANGKOK -- Thailand and Cambodia confirmed bird flu
outbreaks yesterday, bringing the number of Asian nations
hit by the virus to six. World health officials recommended
quarantining people as an ailing Thai man died, the country's
first suspected bird flu death.
